Lionel Messi — Player Career Intelligence

Collective career perception transformed into a structured intelligence system with a global score, career curve, indicators, archetype logic and comparable rankings.

Methodology note

The scores, curves, indicators and archetypes displayed on this page are illustrative examples only. They are provided to explain how the FanXIhub Player Career Intelligence system works. Real outputs are dynamically generated from structured fan voting through the live assessment page.

Rating scale and score conversion

Each criterion is evaluated on a 1–7 scale, then converted into a 0–100 score to create comparable intelligence signals across players and generations.

This non-linear conversion reflects perception gaps more realistically, especially at elite and historical levels.

7 dimensions × 3 criteria = 21 evaluations

The Career Index is not based on one vague impression. It is built from 21 structured evaluations, grouped into 7 dimensions, to make fan perception measurable and comparable.

Career Index calculation logic

Each criterion receives a rating from 1 to 7. The three criteria of each dimension are averaged, converted to 0–100, then aggregated into the final Career Index.

Calculation steps

  1. Step 1Each criterion receives a 1–7 rating.
  2. Step 2The three criteria of each dimension are averaged.
  3. Step 3Each dimension average is converted to 0–100.
  4. Step 4The final Career Index is the mean of the 7 dimensions.

Career Index formula

CareerIndex = (Legacy + Peak + Consistency + Longevity + DecisiveMoments + Evolution + Technical) / 7

This ensures every player is evaluated through the same methodological structure before being ranked globally.

Career curve P(t)

The career is modeled as a function where P represents perceived level and t represents time. For the MVP, FanXIhub recommends a phase-based approach rather than year-by-year evaluation.

Definition of time

Recommended for MVP

Two approaches are possible: by year of career, or by 5 career phases. The phase-based model is simpler and more usable for fans.

Indicators derived from P(t)

Career indicators describe the structure of the trajectory: maximum level reached, duration at the top, regularity, progression, volatility and peak dependency.

Indicator formulas

PI = max(P(t))
LG = mean(P3, P4, P5)
ST = 100 − standard deviation(P(t))
MO = P3 − P1
VO = max(P(t)) − min(P(t))
PC = P3 / mean(P(t)) × 100

Clutch Factor (CF) is derived directly from the Decisive moments dimension.
